"Illia 'Golem,' known as the 'most monstrous bodybuilder,' has died at 36 from a heart attack. Famous for his extreme physique and intense calorie intake, Golem, who weighed 340 pounds, was a social media sensation with over 300,000 followers. His sudden death has reignited concerns about the health risks associated with bodybuilding, following other recent tragedies in the fitness community. Golem's wife, Anna, attempted to revive him, but despite brief signs of recovery, he was declared dead on September 11. His passing has left the bodybuilding world in shock.

A 36-year-old Belarusian bodybuilder, Illia Yefimchyk, known by the nickname 'Golem,' has passed away from a heart attack. 

Yefimchyk, who consumed around 16,500 calories daily—including large quantities of sushi and steak—was recognized for his impressive size and strength. Standing at 6'1" and weighing 340 pounds, he had a chest circumference of 61 inches and 25-inch biceps.

On September 6, Yefimchyk suffered a heart attack at home. 

His wife, Anna, attempted to revive him with chest compressions while waiting for emergency responders. He was later airlifted to the hospital, where his heart briefly started beating again. 

Despite this, doctors informed Anna that his brain had not survived the incident, and his death was confirmed on September 11.

Known for his extraordinary feats in the gym—such as a 600-pound bench press and 700-pound deadlifts—Yefimchyk became a social media sensation, amassing over 300,000 followers on Instagram

His journey from a 70-kilogram schoolboy unable to do a push-up to a massive bodybuilder was a source of inspiration for many. He often spoke about discipline and the importance of pushing personal boundaries.

Despite not competing professionally, Yefimchyk had become a figure of admiration in the bodybuilding world. His goal was to reach 380 pounds before his untimely death. 

His passing has sparked conversations about the health risks associated with extreme bodybuilding, following the recent deaths of other young bodybuilders like Brazil’s Antonio Souza and Britain’s Neil Currey.
